Madwaleni River Lodge, a 12-key tented camp, is situated along the White Umfolozi River within Babanango Game Reserve - a culturally rich area in the heart of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Once old cattle farms,
Babanango Game Reserve boasts rich historical, cultural, and environmental
layering. Most recently, the reserve has undergone one of Southern Africa’s most
ambitious rewilding projects, welcoming back the Big 5 after nearly 150 years.
Luxury Frontiers was briefed to design a lodge that celebrates the land’s rewilding
and rebirth, with tasteful reference to its layered past. Occupying 20,000 hectares of Zulu-seeped history, the design sets out to intricately stitch historical and tribal heritage harmoniously into the natural environment of the White Umfolozi River.
The new Commerce, Law and Management Faculty Administration Building is located on the West Campus of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (WITS). It is located in Johannesburg’s historical showground precinct dating back to 1907, with some of the Victorian buildings from that era still
present. The showgrounds were later transformed into the present-day University campus, now populated with different building styles from the different eras.
Mompati Mall is transforming Vryburg in the North West province with its brandnew shopping experience that opened in October 2023. Vryburg’s very first
mall, the ground-breaking new 22,700m2
shopping centre development by
Twin City, is set to be a retail game-changer in the area, introducing a much needed
one-stop shopping, leisure and entertainment experience.
Named in honour of local icon Dr Ruth Mompati, the mall welcomes shoppers with
a diverse mix of 68 retail stores and dining options and a food court, complete with
a kids’ play area. In addition to transforming the shopping and leisure experience in the region, Mompati Mall is a catalyst for economic growth, adding more than 750 permanent jobs to its local economy.
After many years in the planning, and a year of construction, Plettenberg Bay’s Main Street is now graced with a new addition in the form of The Plett Quarter. The building is located in a prime location overlooking Dolphin
Circle on the pedestrian friendly Main Street which is the heart of the Plett CBD. The site is elevated with expansive, panoramic sea views to the east. Construction of the building’s structure only commenced in earnest after completion of the
ground works with the pouring of the first slab in October 2022. The contract budgetwas in the order of R180 million and represents a significant commitment to and vote of confidence in Plettenberg Bay by developers. This positive development was continued with
the commitment of Lion Roars Hotels and Lodges to becoming the operators of the hotel component
of the development.
Waterfall City Commercial District, one of Waterfall City’s most popular
logistical precincts, provides not only spaces but an environment that
inspires success and sustainable practices. Plumblink, SA’s largest

market leader, Plumblink specialises in plumbing, as well as bathroom and kitchen ware, with over 140 stores nationwide. This move brings Plumblink to a location that is highly
accessible and well-connected, making it better suited to its growing customer base.
